wilke, i used my sb-600 & ab800 & pointed them directly at the backdrop to blow it out. i had my camera on a tripod & used my remote for the timer+remote option (giving me time to hide the remote). the light spilled on me more than i thought it would, so i had a lot of burning to do in PS, lol.
