norah's birthday is next sunday! i cannot believe it. it is literally shocking to me. here are the two diapers i had made for her birthday pics. we're doing a "smash cake" tuesday, and she'll wear the "sprinkles" one.

today we went to look at a house (as we've been doing waaay too often the past two weeks). we're moving (hopefully) in a month! it's just really hard without a yard for the kids (and ME!). this will also be the first time we are not sharing a wall with someone else since john & i got married! i grew up in a single home, so it took some getting used to to hearing my neighbors doing karaoke every friday night in our last house.

this house is as close to perfect as we're going to get, i think. it's only 3 bedrooms, but has a finished basement, a two car garage, and more storage in a separate room in the basement. it is within walking distance from the elementary school (another high ranking factor), and there is a community pool, fitness center, and it's located on a golf course.

OH! and we'll have our very own MAILBOX!! no more cluster boxes!!

it has GREAT lighting (one of the first things we looked at with each house). after living in a cave a few years ago, we realized how important great natural light is.

nothing exciting! yesterday we spent the day being goofballs. we watched a movie and had pizza. love fridays! too bad john worked all day, then all night too. gotta love the navy. not sure shore duty is that much better than sea! lol

it was beautiful day today - in the 60's, so we played outside for a while. the playground was packed!

i'm having really color cast-y day. argh. almost made everything b&w, but resisted.

norah found this little under the nile bunny a friend gave ethan when he was born. she looked so cute carrying it around. i wish my kids had lovies!

and i found some lollies. not exactly what i was looking for. i still may run to hammond's ... but i have some now!

can't forget the goofy boy. lol. he got a hair cut today!

what is up with the chinese places here? no duck sauce? passing spring rolls off egg rolls?! i don't know if i can stay in colorado now. it's like some parallel universe!

we tried two chinese places, and same results. i cannot find duck sauce in the grocery store. this looked like the closest thing to duck sauce i've found in three grocery stores. maybe in color, but NOT in taste. looks like i know what i'll have my MIL bring next week. can you fly with duck sauce? lol.

also picked up some freezer egg rolls. blech. saturday we're trying some "philly cheesesteaks" from a place called pat's (ha!) ... we'll see. i do not have high hopes after this, lol.

and i had to post this. some pictures from today i made into a storyboard. since kayleigh's been in school these two have really bonded. it's so sweet.

i always wished i had a sibling. it's definitely why now, i yearn for so many kids, and a large family. i can't wait until they're grown (okay, i'm lying), and we have big family get togethers where it's so loud you can hardly hear each other speak. :) ahh ... heaven!

it was beautiful out today. after we got kayleigh on the bus we hung outside for a couple hours. :)

oh, and i'm down 6.6 pounds in two weeks. horrah!

nothing exciting today! i snapped this while kayleigh was having lunch & i was having a uber yummy starbucks drink with one of our new super cool double wall bodum mugs (yay for world market clearance!). i get the white mocha syrup on ebay, and make it at home. since starting weight watcher's it's way less frequent, and a much smaller quantity, but it's nice to have as a sometimes treat. :)



looks like i'll be waiting a bit longer for the new lens. i changed my mind, and ordered a 28mm last night, so i'll be sending back the 24mm tuesday. i'm just worried if i get too close there will be too much distortion & my kids will have noses like mr. potato head, lol! with free 3 day shipping from b&h, though, i'm hoping for thursday!

this girl loves her food. and she always goes for the brightest food on her plate. we had lasagna tonight, and she devoured the zucchini!

feeling uninspired lately. just some snapshots. my new lens will be here tuesday (thanks memom & grandma k!), so hopefully wednesday i can get the softbox & schtuff out and play a bit. until then i'm not sure what will be here, lol. it's cold, so the kids don't want to play for me outside. maybe i'll do a few self portraits ... maybe.

i'm also on the hunt for a big heart lollipop, gourmet style like this. can anyone help me?? i checked target, fuzziwigs, party city, and one other place, i think. i got a christmas one for .25c at target on clearance today ... but a heart would be RAD!
