operation big girl bed, take two.
(this time she at least KNEW she was in it when she went to bed)
my husband is so sweet to put up with all my crazy requests.
we're going to be moving norah in with kayleigh soon, and we've been trying to figure out bed options. we were going to just go with a nice wooden bunk set, but (we've found out) norah is a little too brave to be alone with a ladder. i saw a little boy's room that shared with a twin and a toddler bed & i can't believe i didn't think of it before!
right now, kayleigh has a full size bed on a metal frame. she always told us she did NOT want a headboard. but she's finally come around. we decided we'd do a twin & the toddler bed until we move from here in two years, then re-evaluate. i found a bed at the land of nod that i liked, but it was a little pricey for what it was. after some searching, i found a very similar one on craigslist for $15! it was brown, so needed some paint ... but very similar ... and a whole lot cheaper!
after the first coat of paint ....
so ... john painted it today, and will put one last coat on tomorrow, then we'll go buy a mattress this weekend (we already have a brand new box spring we aren't using). once norah gets settled in her own bed, we'll paint her bed (poor john, after all that work he did!), and move her into kayleigh's room. i don't want to move her until she's sleeping in it well, because kayleigh's got an early start with school now, and i don't want to bother her, but.... we're on our way!

I love the Jenny Lind bed!
GL with the merge! After several weeks of the big girl bed, I cracked and put up M's crib last night. I'm sooo tired of her getting out of bed. She never had sleeping problems until I moved her into that bed!
We're putting her toddler bed in the room with Rylee (who has a full size) but I would really like to get a trundle or something.
Aww I love it. I am unsure when Koey will move out. Wonder if he will stay and the new little one will not cosleep. Could I co-sleep 2?
