i haven't converted many photos to black & white lately. i've been trying to work on my color more. i didn't pick up my camera once yesterday until about 10pm. and by then, everyone was sleeping.

most of the conversions i do are a more vanilla toned b&w. i don't know why, it just seems to be my preference. i guess it's good to have a variety.

today we went out for a snowball fight since the snow was melting quick! we had a lot of fun - again, kayleigh mostly enjoyed from inside, lol. not sure if she's a snowy girl after all. good thing it doesn't snow much here, haha!

ugh, today has been exausting. every last minute of it. can't wait until tomorrow. i'm so sick of today!

in good news - we got to have fun in the snow today. kayleigh's not a fan. she spent more time putting her gear on that she did outside!

yesterday we FINALLY got a blizzard! i've only been waiting all darn winter. finally, spring brought one! we got around 10-12". these were taken a few hours into it, so they're not the greatest pictures, lol. i was worried about too much water getting in my camera ....although kayleigh threw a snowball right at it! eek

norah's favorite place in the house - the shoe closet. sometimes she locks herself in there and stands against the door so we can't get in, lol!

this morning the kids were so excited to hear there was some snow overnight. it's amazing, everyone told us to prepare for a lot of snow, and we've barely gotten a few dustings! this weekend we're heading to the mountains to see some real snow!

out of focus, high iso (2000!) quick snap. we got a boden RAF order in that i paid NOTHING for, and norah took it upon herself to try on a couple things (she actually has two shirts under the shark one, lol)!

i love walking kayleigh to school. it's great exercise, the view is beautiful (hard to see, today was a little hazy - but you can see the mountains behind the houses), and we avoid the BUS. i always hoped my kids would never have to ride the bus. they won't again if i can help it!

so many nights i find ethan sleeping in his mario hat i made him for halloween. it's so cute, but also a little worrisome. he is REALLY infatuated with video games, lol. not sure if this is helping or harming. :P

so my picture today is thrilling! we got some exciting news last week, so i've been organizing & getting everything settled like a maniac. today i got a HUGE moving box full of stuff for donating. finally 99% of the rest of the unfinished moving stuff done today. it feels great! by thursday we will be completely cleaned out & organized. i'm so done storing stuff!


...and on to the exciting news we found out last week! :) now that our families know, it's safe to share. looks like #4, likely our last, will be making his/her entrance this fall. :) one kid born in each season! we are keeping the gender a surprise like we did with ethan. it was so exciting to find out at the birth. we're meeting with the homebirth midwife out here next week ... we're all just so excited! we haven't told the kids, yet. we're waiting a bit to play it safe, & not to make it seem like an eternity to them!

so, when kayleigh was a baby, she was bald, and i was DYING for her to get hair. so much, that i let her grow this horrible baby mullet & i swore i'd never do it again ....

well, that leads us here. click to see the picture bigger. shall i trim norah's stray long hairs in front of her face? lol. i'm leaning towards the YES side.
