kayleigh has not come back into our bed since she moved out at two. even when she was sick, she wanted nothing to do with it. we've tried many times when family was in town visiting, but still - she likes her space.

last night she woke up hysterical screaming & crying telling me there was a big green monster biting her feet under her covers. john convinced her to sleep in our room after us reassuring her there was nothing under there wasn't enough.

i woke up to this. :)

we got our first real snow yesterday - woohoo! too bad john had to work. shifts stinks!

the least i could do, lol.

john called from work & woke me at 5am and told me our neighbor's water broke. so, their 2 year old came over to play for the day so dad could go help out mom in the hospital, and he's now a big brother to a new baby girl!

anyway, this was the only picture i took all day, and out of courtesy i don't want to post pictures of their son on my blog .... so this is it for the day, and it won't click to enlarge.

so, sometimes i get emails, or friends say how clean my house always looks , how sweet my kids look with eachother, and blah blah blah ....

i found this picture in the back of a magazine the other day (which norah ripped out, thankyouverymuch.), and it cracked me up. this is pretty much normal for us. lol. so .... without further delay .... i give you .. real life!

new shoes! gap/oldnavy/banana republic/piperlime was having their friends & family sale, so we stocked up at 40.5% off!

i got a pair of simple carat eco-sneaks. my adidas' were starting to talk in the front. they're super cool & made of all sorts of neat materials like coconuts, inner tubes, & bamboo!

and john got his norm, white shell tops. i got ethan a pair of them too, they were too cute/cheap to pass up! i was shocked that john's 11.5's didn't dwarf ethan's 10's! gasp, velcro!

and i ordered these stride rite mindy shoes for kayleigh, but they are still traveling to us. :)
